Durham Regional celebrates successes in patient satisfaction by recognizing the areas that met the hospital’s goal of achieving the 75th percentile in overall patient satisfaction. In the first quarter, several areas exceeded the 75th percentile. Congratulations to these areas!
Unit 6-3 received a trophy for Best Patient Satisfaction. The unit had a mean Score of 87.2—the highest mean score of any unit. 6-3 has exceeded the 75th percentile for the past 3 quarters, and they reached their yearly target in 2009 and are continuing this success in 2010.
Unit 5-1 received a trophy for Most Improved Patient Satisfaction. This unit increased 3.4 points from last quarter to achieve the 90th percentile, which was the highest percentile rank ever for an inpatient unit.
Davis Ambulatory Surgical Center (DASC): Mean Score of 95, 99th percentile.
Patient Transport: Mean Score of 90.1, 76th percentile
Physical Therapy: Mean Score of 88.2, 84th percentile
Neurosensory Testing: Mean Score of 92.4, 84th percentile
Physicians (all who treated inpatients) Mean Score of 88.1, 87th percentile. The Hospitalists are pictured here as representatives of inpatient physicians.
Social Services: Mean Score of 87.6, 93rd percentile
CCU: Mean Score of 96.5, 96th percentile
