Chaplains: Helping patients and staff at Duke Raleigh
posted January 8th, 2010Rev. Adrian Dixon, director of Spiritual Care at Duke Raleigh Hospital, cares for patients and staff daily. He provides a listening ear, friendly conversation and lets patients and staff know he is there to support them.
He doesn't work alone. He has a team of community and hospital staff volunteers helping.
Tony Brazil, a security guard at Duke Raleigh, helps keep the hospital safe and still finds time to check in with nurses and staff members.
"I just listen to them," Brazil said.
