Thanks Pete, for making a sick patient's day and going above and beyond what anyone could have dreamed possible!
Pete Verrault, a Life Flight pilot, made a special wish come true for a pediatric patient.
Whitney Poplin, said: "At 2 a.m. one Monday night I took a very sick patient from 5200 up to see the helicopter pad. We watched Pete land a plane and we were shocked when he invited my patient, her family, and I onto the roof for a closer look. He spent a lot of time with her showing her the plane and even let her sit in the cockpit. She loved the experience and it brought tears to all of our eyes. The next day he contacted his company and did a tremendous amount of leg work, which eventually led to the experience of a lifetime for my patient. She along with her mother and a 5200 nurse got to take a ride in the helicopter on Wednesday. Thanks Pete, for making a sick patient's day and going above and beyond what anyone could have dreamed possible!"
