Wear red, Feb. 5
February 1st, 2010As part of American Heart Month, February 5 is National Wear Red Day, a day when people across the United States wear red to show their support for women's heart disease awareness.
Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States for both men and women, with women accounting for nearly half of those deaths.
Duke Heart Center invites all Duke employees to show their support for the cause by wearing red on Friday, Feb. 5.
Red Dress pins will be available at the PRT walk way of Duke South for a donation of $3.00 of more. A limited supply of the Anniversary Edition of the Red Dress pins are available for $20.00 each.
