Pat Kramer appointed as president-elect to Case Management Association
posted March 12th, 2010Pat Kramer, director of case management at Duke Raleigh Hospital was recently appointed as President-elect of The American Case Management Association (ACMA) - North Carolina Chapter. She will assume the office fully at the end of April. This is a two year appointment. She has been active with the organization since 2006, and has served as a member of the Board and as membership chairperson.
For the past two years, Kramer and members of her department have submitted posters to the ACMA national conference, and each year they were chosen. The 2009 poster was on the Suicidal Patient Handoff process, and it received an award for “Most Replicable Process.” This year’s poster on quality improvement as it relates to Medicare Impatient Only Procedures will be judged in April.
"I feel like the NC Chapter of the ACMA is filled with knowledgeable, talented individuals who are committed to staying on top of the ever changing healthcare issues facing us all,” Kramer said. I know I have colleagues throughout the State who are all dealing with the same challenges. The networking and sharing of creative ways to address the challenges makes this an incredible organization to belong to and I'm excited to have the opportunity to lead the Chapter."
