Colorectal Cancer Awareness Fair
posted March 4th, 2010Please join the Endoscopy Department for a Colorectal Cancer Awareness Fair open to the public and staff.
The endoscopy department will present educational information to the public about the importance of screening, the latest information on colorectal cancer and prevention, and the importance of diet and family history. Physicians will be available to answer any questions.

WHERE : Raleigh Hospital Cafe - Dogwood Room
3400 Wake Forest Road
TIME: 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
There will be presentations by the following physicians: Dr. Aaron Woofter, Dr. Jessie Liu, Dr. Savita Srivastava, Dr. Chris Watters, Dr. Jorge Obando and Dr. Michael Spiritos.
Colorectal Cancer is the second leading cause of cancer related deaths in the United States annually. Colorectal Cancer begins as a polyp. If polyps are identified and removed at an early stage, colorectal cancer can be prevented. Screening should begin at age 50 or sooner for those with a family history of colorectal cancer or colorectal polyps.
